Social Hub Beginner's Guide


First and Foremost

Remembering your Social Hub URL might be the biggest challenge you face during your 30-day free trial. Do yourself a tremendous favor by bookmarking it to your browser and saving it to your home screen on your smartphone! If you are unsure how to bookmark a website, click here to learn more.

Learning About the Widgets

During your free 30-day trial, you’ll have access to a number of tools that will change the way you market your business. The hub might seem a little intimidating at first, but we promise you’ll learn quickly! Click the Question Mark Icon in the top right corner of any of the widgets to watch a quick video of the widget explained by one of our team members. For a little bit more of an in-depth training, click on one of our 2-5-minute tutorial videos below.

Customizing Your Dashboard

You might find some of the tools provided to be more useful than others. Re-order the widgets so that the most important one appears first by clicking the pencil icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. Once you do so, you’ll be able to rearrange the widgets by simply dragging them. Once you create your perfect sequence, click the check mark icon in the bottom right corner to lock it in!

Connecting Your Social Media

If you skipped connecting your social accounts during the set-up process, you’ll need to connect your Facebook and Twitter now to fully utilize the Social Media widget. To get started, click the downward facing arrow at the bottom of the widget to expand it. Next, click ‘Connect your Social Networks’. Enter your login credentials for Facebook (you must be listed as an admin of the Facebook page) and be sure to click Set Page. Do the same for Twitter, and click ‘Authorize app’. It’s important to note that if you are already logged into a Facebook or Twitter account on your computer, the hub will pull this information! Once your pages appear in the window, click Save and you’re all done. You will soon see your previous posts feed in, and you can now post to both accounts!

Responding to Your Reviews

It’s important to stay engaged by regularly monitoring and responding to your customers’ online reviews. Studies show that an overwhelming majority of people who leave negative reviews will actually visit your establishment again if you respond to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently. Posting on Social Media

If you’re new to posting, it’s important for a few reasons.

  1. It keeps your customers engaged and excited.
  2. It draws attention from people who have never visited you before.
  3. It keeps you active on search engines and ensures your online presence exists.

If you’re not sure what to post about, remember that visuals are important! Post appealing photos of your food, any current specials you have, upcoming live music or events, etc. Think about what you would want to see if you were looking at a Facebook page for a restaurant you’ve never been to before.

Email Marketing

Similar to social media, email marketing is another excellent way to reach your customers. We highly recommend taking advantage of your mailing list tool during your 30-day trial so that you can collect email addresses from your customers who want to hear from you (why else would they sign up!). What you choose to send out to your mailing list is completely up to you! Here are a few ideas you may want to consider:

  • Important updates surrounding your business
  • Discounts and promotions
  • Featured menu items/specials you’re currently offering
  • Notice of events like bands playing or Trivia Night

Did You Know You Can...


Set Up Mobile Alerts

Add your cell phone number so that you can receive a text alert whenever there's any online activity surrounding your business. You'll only receive 1 text per day with each of your activities listed.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Just hover over the Social Media icon from the blue menu bar on the right, and click on Mobile Alerts.
  2. Click the round + icon and fill out your information. Make sure you choose the right mobile carrier to ensure that you successfully receive the text.
  3. Once you put in all the correct information, click the Review slider to enable it (it should turn blue). You can add as many phone numbers as you’d like! 

Set Up Your Mailing List

During your free 30-day trial, utilize every widget to the fullest—including email marketing! Allow customers to easily sign up to receive emails from you by having your web designer simply place a code on your website.

Here's how to do it:

  1. To get the code, click on your business name in the top left corner of your hub.
  2. Next, click on Email Builder from the menu that appears.
  3. Click on Settings from the blue menu on all the way to the right.
  4. Simply copy the code, and place it somewhere noticeable on your website! You will see who joins by looking at your Recent Activity Feed or list of email contacts.

Set Up Your Mobile App

If you’re mostly accessing your Social Hub from your smartphone, there’s no need to type in your URL every single time you want to pull it up. Instead, add it to your home screen! It looks and acts as an app, no installation necessary.

Here’s how to do it:

  • iPhone:
    1. Open Safari and go to your Social Hub.
    2. Tap the share button from the middle of Safari’s bottom menu.
    3. Scroll left until you see ‘Add to Home Screen’.
    4. Rename the title if you’d like, and click Add.
    5. Your shortcut should now appear on your home screen.

  • Android: 
    1. Open your web browser and go to your Social Hub.
    2. Press the Menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top-right corner of the browser), then tap on Page.
    3. Tap Add Page Shortcut.
    4. Your shortcut should now appear on your home screen.

Frequently Asked Questions


What are inactive widgets?

On your Social Hub, you’ll have access to see and learn about all of our tools. Click Learn More on any of the inactive widgets to read a little bit about it and hear one of our awesome team members briefly explain how it works. If you think your business would benefit from any of the tools, click the Learn More button in the popup to have one of our team members reach out to you! Click the toggle button in the bottom left corner of your screen to hide or show the inactive widgets at any time.

Can I use the Social Hub from my phone?

Yes—the Social hub is 100% smartphone and tablet friendly!

Will I be charged after my trial?

Nope! Our sign-up process requires no credit card information, so you’ll never be charged until you upgrade to keep your Social Hub after 30 days.

What if I need a question answered?

Can I make more usernames and passwords for my employees?

Yes! You can give as many people access to your Social Hub as you’d like, at no additional cost. Click here if you would like to add a new user.
